| Doug began his real estate career at Lake Tahoe in 1979 as a real estate agent with one of Lake Tahoe 's largest real estate offices of the day. He soon became a multimillion dollar producer, and very active in the South Lake Tahoe Board of Realtors organization. In 1983, Doug was asked to assume the position of Sales Manager for a brand new four-person office in South Lake Tahoe. Doug accepted the challenge and in six years built the national franchise and South Tahoe Realty into one of the leading real estate offices in the South Lake Tahoe area. In addition to his dedication to making each of his many clients feel like they are his “only client,” Doug now serves as Managing Broker of Chase International South Tahoe Realty in South Lake Tahoe. He is also president of a local non-profit organization which provides educational scholarships to high school graduates, and a cabinet member of the El Dorado Community Foundation. In 1984, Lake Tahoe Community College invited Doug to teach California Real Estate Principles, which he taught for 10 years. He still teaches short courses for the college as time permits. Doug has been an officer or director of the South Lake Tahoe Board of Realtors 14 times and over the past 29 years, he has been named recipient of the South Lake Tahoe Association of Realtor's Realtor of the Year Award, Community Service Award and Distinguished Service Award. Doug's very close family consists of his wife, Diane, also very active in the community and a dean of instruction at Lake Tahoe Community College; his son Bryan, an author and Realtor; daughter-in-law Leila and brand new grandson Judah; and daughter Jennifer, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Southern California. |
